Project Planning, going to get my butt kicked
It is going to be a gruelling next few weeks… I will be going through a Project Management Professional boot camp.
Part of me is really looking forward to getting back into Project Management mindset and part of me is not. I’ve been spending a lot of time lately on building awareness of my authenticity when showing up every day. Sometimes I find it challenging to be ‘Authentic’ and yet work on ‘Business’. Honestly, the business side of me isn’t loved very much by me, but I’m starting to realize there are many ways to do ‘Business’ that are in align with the authentic side of me. Having said that, I’m looking forward to showing up at boot camp with both hats on… being business development minded plus authentic conscious me minded. In every situation, I like to ask the universe these two questions, ‘how do you want me to give’ and ‘how do you want me to receive’? I am deeply humbled by what the universe shows me when I show up with that attitude.
The only reason I struggle with the ideas of business is that I don’t agree with the way a lot of businesses are run. That is those companies that their main concern is about making or managing money at the sacrifice to the stakeholders, including those supporting the business and those buying into the business. This is where I think most businesses have got it wrong. Don’t get me wrong, there is absolutely nothing wrong with making money. Where we get it wrong is when we focus all on making the money and forget that money really is a means to an end and what we really thrive for… that is freedom and love for our human family.
I fully intend to put on my business project management hat on with mindfulness on how it affects all and how the business can not only be profitable but also have a positive effect to our society.
